A world leader in the design, engineering, testing, validation and manufacturing of driveline and drivetrain systems and related components and modules, chassis systems and metal formed products for passenger cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles,  is looking for :

Post : SQD  (Supplier Quality Development) Engineer - CRD/2888
Location : Chennai and Pune
Qualification : B.E. -  Mechanical / Production
Experience : 06 to 10 years

Job Description :
  • Should have worked with OEM's or Tier 1(or equivalent) in the Quality Department
  • Hands on knowledge in Castings or Forgings commodity preferred
  • Persons working with foundries or stamping companies in quality also preferred.
  • Should be familiar with concepts like APQP, PFMEA, MS, SPC, PPAP, 8 D problem solving
  • Should be willing to travel and work with suppliers (from supplier selection to PPAP)
  • Good Knowledge of machining process, gear manufacturing, forgings, heat treatment, Bevel/hypoid gears, crown wheel pinion etc.
  • Good presentation and communication skills preferred
  • Should be knowledgeable on NDT testing e.g. X-Ray, UT, Magnaflux etc.
  • Knowledge about metallurgy shall be preferred.
Competencies :
  • Relevant Work Experience in Automotive field.
  • Should be willing to travel and work with suppliers (from supplier selection to PPAP)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Quality Systems (ISO / TS – 16949)
  • Six Sigma
  • APQP / PPAP
  • Oracle
  • Inspection – Dimensional
  • Inspection Metallurgy
  • Engineering and manufacturing process knowledge
