Post : Sr. Manager - Supplier Quality - CRD/2919
Location : Pune
Qualification : BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Metallurgy)
Experience : 10 to 15 years

Job Description :
  • Monitoring vendors for their  performance and improving as well as supporting vendors in development of tooling & inspection gauges for producing Defect free parts and as per quality norms.
  • Responsible for training to vendors  in line with MQS Methodology on subjects like APQP, MPAP, SPC, MSA, SOP, PFMEA, Kaizen, SMED etc.
  • Guiding Vendor Team  on technical issues and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Imparting training to vendors on  problem solving tools  of SQC  like Pareto analysis, Correlation regression and DOE etc.
  • Training & implemention of  appropriate control charts for monitoring process capability in adherence to 7 QC tools & SPC/ SQC, MSA for variable & attribute gauges.
  • Encouraging  Suppliers to follow the system for obtaining ISO9002 / TS16949 Certification and Auditing the same on regular basis.
  • Eliminating rejection and re-work and achieving defect free parts by ensuring complete in-process quality control and continuous improvement in process capabilities.
  • Should have thorough knowledge and experience in Commodities like Sheet Metal - Press Shop, Fabrication, Springs, Leaf Springs, Chassis.
  • Assessing the performance of the vendors on the basis of quality, technology improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc.
  • Specifying  the technical parameters  for various requirements and coordinating with the vendors to maintain quality of the incoming materials.
  • Developing parts and aggregate the same from important vendors through APQP Methodology and  PPAP approval for on going product development assignments.
  • Identify the areas for POKAYOKE in process through PFMEA & initiating cost savings through reduction of Non value added activities in the process & through put time reduction.
  • Analyzing existing processes and redesigning the same for enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Rating the vendors and establishing benchmark related to various parameters like material, cost, processes, execution etc.
  • Work of regular basis to develop alernate designs, alternate processes, alternate material etc. in order to achieve cost savings and productivity improvements.
